take the laptop apart and remove the ram stick and see what the sticky label says on it. later goto crucial.com. ram compatability is determined by the motherboard you hold but easier to check the ram already within there by reading the sticker.
Take your run into out and their should be a label on their aphorism what it is you can't just put any memory within their e.g mine is 512mb DDR 400MHZ Pc 3200u. If you take yours to a computer store they will dispense you a compatible ram for your system...
