Motherboard install assist?

you have missed out several items i.e. required to answer questions.

Model of MSI Motherboard,

keyboard/mouse type... usb/ps2

Hard drive,,,,,, used or strange

have a floppy drive yes/no

how much memory?

bios settings failsafe/reset by you

MSI motherboards are the solitary ones I use for my systems, so you have made a polite choice,

get pay for to me with the answers to the above question, then I can guide you through the setup
Use a USB baby grand first to see if it work. If yes, replace the motherboard. Make sure you turn on USB enabled from BIOS
You dont have to set the 1st boot device as CDrom. If you set the bios settings (default settings or the like) it will try to boot from the floppy, cd later hdd. If you can you can set the cd above the hdd it does not matter which they are as long as the cd is earlier the hdd. Then hit any key to boot from compact disc will appear on the boot. Thanks
