New HD/ reinstalling OS/ trouble next to ethernet enjoy correct driver?

I reinstalled Windows ME on an outdated computer for my grandparents with a spanking new hard drive.



ethernet is still out of order

Opened up computer and got company Davicom and the model number DM9102AF.

Got correct driver direct from Davicom.

Device Manager say it is working fine but still need drivers for PCI Input Controller and PCI Multimedia Audio Device (sound card I suppose)

Start Internet Explorer and it say detecting proxy settings, after about 30 secs go to Page cannot be displayed.

Both cable and router work fine when plugged into my laptop.



Not sure what to do next.

It may be the computer is too old for ME... Whats the specs... check up to engender sure .. The processor speed ands the Motherboard are compatable with ME.

You stipulation the motherboard drivers too look for the name of the mother board initiator you need the PCI driver to access the Ethernet card and afterwards the card driver to run the card. thats why it asks for PCI input controller..
