My cd-rom have stopped playing cds from second 5 days .plz relief me?

I'm not an expert so these are purely some basic trouble shooting tips. Sometimes it's as simple as cleaning the lens beside a lens cleaning CD or beside a piece of cotton and some alcohol. Did you install or change any programs right around the time the problem started? Have you checked your drivers?
