I hold been given an frail Maxtor 1-touch II external drive (E01A200) but no Power supply, can anyone tell me what the power requirements are (i.e. voltage, current and pin layout) as within is no info on the case or their net site.

Usually an external case houses a HD or optical drive. Open up the satchel and you will probably find the standard I/O and power plugs inside. Red is 5v orange or ashen is 12v.
