My usb cable surrounded by Seagate external drive disconected while transfering background, Can i format it to use it again?

When I plug the usb the tray deity appears, i double click on it and i cannot see the hard drive, the box is not in use!

I opne device manager an within teh universal serial bus controller appears the USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE wht an wan exclamation, when i double click on it it says the following This device cannot start. (Code 10). In the Disk Drive sector i don see the seagate drive, and also in my computer i cannot se this drive.

All i wanto is to reformat it, i don caution about the information, adjectives i need is to use it again as i used too.

back you format - have you tried to remove the usb controller via control panel and hardware and after let your system automatically find and install it again ? perchance that will solve your problem... if not - you might stipulation to reformat the drive
You should be able to format it but if you can't see it you can't do anything to it. You requirement a tech to run a utility to get to it.
The washed out exclaimation means Windows does not find the appropriate driver for the device. You can unambiguous it and try to locate the driver. Or go to Seagate to look for comfort there.
step to start>control panel>system> a new windowpane will pop up choose hardware>device manager a unusual window will pop up again this time scroll and look for your USB device if you see a pallid icon (probably a request for information mark) then you're USB port/s is disable is some suitcase or your PC has not ample power, I've experienced this once so what I did is to reformat my HD and viola my USB is started to work again...
