So im using Vista business next to my new computer. I tried using both a wireless USB and a hardwired ps2 port optical mouse. Neither work. At first I suspected hardware malfunction, but BIOS shows the wireless USB mouse as a registered USB input device. However when moved the pointer will not move. (No im not using it on a flat black surface). Was wondering if there be a conflict in Vista near optical mice (Doubtful...) Or if there is a adjectives issue at the moment which someone might know about (More likely)
Need ADVANCED tech lend a hand. Optical mice (both ps2 and usb) ruined near vista, trackball is.?
Could be more of a driver issue for the optical mouse. Try inquiring the manufacturers homepage for vista drivers.
I enjoy Vista and I have no such problem. Make sure you enjoy the latest drivers installed for your mouses and that they are compatible beside Vista.
