My usb ports will not work at adjectives... Just stopped working soon... no power no nil?

I own tried to reinstall the chipset drivers and updated windows on My Emachine t4697 and no USB ports work...

If the tool has be recently jostle, you may have a loose nouns. Or, a bad nouns.



Worst of all, you may own a fried board.



If you know a reliable tech, have him/her check it out. This sort of problem can be difficult to diagnose lacking opening the crust and rooting around.



Simplest fix might simply be downloading the latest USB drivers and the Plug & Play software. Your most modern update may have also disabled the ports.

go to start, settings, control panel, system, hardwaretab, device mediator, and in the device inspector at the bottom of the list of hardware at hand will be a area call universal serial bus controllers click on it later it will expand into a bunch of usb root hubs and other crap, right click on each of the usb root hubs and uninstall consequently reboot. windows should automatically spot and reinstall the usb hubs and hopefully they will work fine.

may i suggest freshly taking it into a local computer store to have them fix it, i have the same problem beside a usb on my compaq and got it fixed at a local store
Since you hold already reinstalled your chipset drivers and still no usb then the problem may be your hardware (mainboard). Emachines blow chunks anyway. You can try to reinstall your OS because it could be a minor registry problem. One that would appropriate a registry pro to realize. Good Luck.
