you dont need software to verbs memory to a system using widows xp--just plug it in, if its compatible next to your motherboard. There are different kinds of ram--high density-low density-dual channel-single guide -184 pins-240 pins. If it looks like it fits your motherboard, plug it surrounded by and see if it works-if your pc recognize it, then it should work surrounded by your new notebook. The video card will work if its the same as your hoary system(for example if they are both AGP-PCI-or PCI express. Generally if it plugs into your system it will work--they usually wont fit if they arent compatable. If you do need software drivers you can receive them free from the manufacturers website.
if the board will filch it
Memory will only if the motherboard supports the exact memory that you enjoy. Video card, same scenario. If it is a AGP and you don't have a AGP slot it will not work.

i suggest looking up the specs for both motherboards online and see if they are compatible.

The harddrive SHOULD verbs over (depending on if it is IDE, SCSI or SATA), but you would need to reload it as it will crash because of the hardware translate unless you are using Linux.
RAM memory needs to be of the Same TYPE as what the contemporary

one can take.
