Newegg OEM Components?

Ok, so I own been looking around on Newegg just now and have notice the dramatic price difference between the Retail and the OEM products. What are some advantages and disadvantages of buying OEM components over the retail ones. Also for people who own purchased the OEM products, have you have any issues with the functionality, or do not give the impression of being to last as long as the retail.

Newegg OEM Components?

The singular diffence between the two is that the RETAIL comes with games, bundled software, drivers and such. The OEM is merely the hardware and nothing else.



I buy OEM because I tend to not want adjectives glitz, and install my prefered driver. I have my games I want to play already and of late want the hardware - nothing else. I also prefer to format and setup my own intricate drives etc.
I bought my external hard drive from Newegg. OEM. i love it. it's worked fine.
It's usually like peas in a pod product, but packaged for a computer supplier that sell computers. They don't want the fancy box that comes with the retail products.



Sometimes, you won't win any cables or instructions. Additionally, the warranty can extraordinarily. Sometimes, you do not get any customer support next to the OEM product since the expect you to call the individual who built your computer.

New HD/ reinstalling OS/ trouble next to ethernet enjoy correct driver?

I reinstalled Windows ME on an outdated computer for my grandparents with a spanking new hard drive.



ethernet is still out of order

Opened up computer and got company Davicom and the model number DM9102AF.

Got correct driver direct from Davicom.

Device Manager say it is working fine but still need drivers for PCI Input Controller and PCI Multimedia Audio Device (sound card I suppose)

Start Internet Explorer and it say detecting proxy settings, after about 30 secs go to Page cannot be displayed.

Both cable and router work fine when plugged into my laptop.



Not sure what to do next.

It may be the computer is too old for ME... Whats the specs... check up to engender sure .. The processor speed ands the Motherboard are compatable with ME.

You stipulation the motherboard drivers too look for the name of the mother board initiator you need the PCI driver to access the Ethernet card and afterwards the card driver to run the card. thats why it asks for PCI input controller..

Network adapter problem.?

I'm have a problem with my meet people adapter. It's Realtek RTL8110S/8169S gb Ethernet controller and a built-in on my motherboard. When i switch on my pc, this display will come up PXE-E61: Media testing failure, Check cable'. I've check through the internet what's PXE-61 is and it say there be something wrong with the cable, could be broken or discouraging. And it says to check or replace the cable. The problem is i didn't see any cable since it be built-in or it was me who didn't see it. Tell me what to do, i can sympathetic up the pc if that's what it take. Thanks..

Network adapter problem.?

First, check the device manager and manufacture sure your adapter is functioning properly. If so, take out the ethernet cable from the posterior and reverse the cable. If that does not work, try a new cable.

Need to tranfer pictures form an feeble computer.?

I newly bought a new computer... how within the world do I get my weak pictures onto the new one? My mature one is filled near viruses to, can those capture into my new one if my brand new one has Norton? I dont requirement anything else like the music or documents although I wouldnt mind to draw from documents if it were assured. Please help, im so lost! Also the cd drive does not work on the frail one... Thanks!

Try buying a 2 see. flash drive and put it in the USB port. Highlight adjectives your pictures, documents and music, click copy to...A box will crop up and you can choose to send your files and pictures to anything drive letter the USB is.
If you don't hold too many pictures, can you email them to yourself and download to the modern PC? Yahoo has a built contained by virus scanner I thought.
If you have a flash drive and you can nouns them onto that then put them on your unmarked computer. I am assuming that your enw computer has up to date virus software after I think if right after you verbs them over you run your anti-virus you should be ok

Need to connect a sturdy drive to an HP computer?

Someone simply gave me an HP tower and i want to connect my matured Hard Drive to it. The tower has 2 drives surrounded by it already, but they connect to the computer in a route that i have never see before. It is connected to a chip near fairly small wires.

They bearing i usually connect my drives is through the long slot (IDE).



The motherboard of this computer has 1 IDE slot and is used for connecting 2 DVD drives.



1) Could I connect a DVD drive and the not easy drive in alike IDE wire?



2) Does anyone hold this sort of problem and have a solution?

The hp tower already connected near two hdd.it's called SATA.If u enjoy only one settle wire on our m board.You may connect two settle hardwares in it(eg:DVD+DVD,DVD+HDD).Only inevitability to change the jumber settings. Connect the HDD to primary settle cable and change the jumber settings into primary. Connect the DVD to slave settle cable and change the jumber into slave.

And turn on your system

i hold lost all the CDs that come with my laptop when i bought it and most of my programs that i was gonna use , i vanished them on my disk , then my 3 antediluvian daughter decided to ornament them to make them pretty...lol.

i didnt know what to do but i be really angry .

so now i dont own any programs including the win xp , but that's easy , i can find it.

i own tried to format the hard as some one told me by going to my computer and clicking on conduct operations, the order format be there but i cant click it , i tight it dosnt highlight when u click on it.

any passageway , can i get the separator programs of the net for free?

You can't format a system divider in window, that is the screen that the OS is on. If you want to format the drive you will need the re-install compact disc, XP, recovery disk, etc.
you cant format or delete the system volume while it's surrounded by use. if you are trying to reinstall windows xp, in attendance are partition tools that are available within the 1st steps of the install. it will allow you to reformat the system partion (usually c:) before you reinstall window. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP YOUR DATA as it will be very frozen, or nigh on impossible to get it support after you have done this. If you want to elaborite on what it is that you are trying to do rather further your welcome to email me, and i will assist where on earth possible.

It's an ISO file, u can burn it to a disc, and boot with it. There are tons tools in this ISO database.

Need back beside soundcard integrated on motherboard?

ok the motherboard is ASUS model number A7N8X Rev 2.00 it have an onboard sound REALTEK ALC650 6 direct and I can not get it installed.

I can play mp3s and video files save on my PC but I can get any audio from sites such as youtube.

When I checked the audio output it say it is coming from the modem or something like that,... I reinstalled the drivers for the soundcard and it is still given up the ghost. I can listen to music from SIRIUS radio online player but I can not find any other website that will play streaming audio...

that system your sound card working!! try check your nouns card settings!! or go to allowed asus website and download latest driver for your integrated nouns and update it!! or use external sound card as a secong choice!!

You should try to install new motherboard drivers and see if that help.
